Dear Olympian V.I.P. Club Member or Member-to-be,
Please read the entire letter carefully. It contains important information. Your VIP club will soon be eleven years old! 2004 proved to be successful because of your enthusiastic response. Now we look forward to another year. We do not want to repeat what we said in our previous letters to you, but it would be of great help to refresh your memories concerning issues. Now that the club dances are in progress and are successful, we are planning the schedule for 2005. We are very excited, and we hope that you will be as well. However, time is of the essence to meet the December 1, 2004 DEADLINE so that we can sign our contracts with the bands for the dances that have been scheduled for 2005. Your immediate response is requested. As in the previous year we need a minimum of 60 people to join the club in order to meet expenses. The highest number that we will allow is 120 people. (Bear in mind that not all members attend every dance.) Quite a few people missed one, two, three dances last year, but we were told that they didn't mind because they know the club is there when they have the time to come, and they know this is the only way we can operate.
As most of you know, the Fred Astaire Dance Studio operates in the same building during the week; however, this will have no effect on the club. We vow to continue good professional ethics. During dances, or any other time, we shall not seek or solicit any students from any other school. WE SHALL STRONGLY ENFORCE NO SOLICITATION! Violators of this rule will forfeit their membership immediately. We would like the Olympian Ballroom to be a place of love, friendship and enjoyment.
The same rules as before: COAT AND TIE, no smoking, etc. Bruce Swist is responsible for running the dances, and he will have non-alcoholic beverages, snacks and some finger foods. All of this will expand according to the demand. We will ask you to refrain from bringing in your own sodas and snacks because the concession stand will have everything you will need at a nominal price.
In 2005, we shall have ten dances. Once again, the fee will be only $132.00 per person. You see, we are not greedy. All we want to do is see people enjoy themselves. Please make your CHECKS PAYABLE to: OLYMPIAN BALLROOM. (Your checks will not be deposited until we reach the 60 member minimum quota.)
Renewing members will not have to pay the $20.00 initiation fee, but new members are required to pay this fee. Because of necessary operating expenses, whether a member joins at the beginning, middle or end of the year, the fee will be the same. Questions were raised about guests. If you have local guests, they are allowed to attend one time, and the fee will be $12.00 per person. If you have out-of-state relatives or friends, they may come as your guest anytime they visit. We are enclosing a schedule of the 2005 dances. If membership should reach the capacity level, then your name will go on a waiting list. For this reason your immediate response is very important so that we can start right away. Don't be left out! Thank you.

Dancingly,

Jerry & Linda Topez Theodossiou
